was wondering if anyone has had thier ds on a scale to know what they really tip at? we keep talking about more horsepower but when i line up with a done up 450 and they jump out so much faster it makes me wonder. i went to see about some aluminum bolts and nuts for things like plastic and such but there a special order here. planning on removing some plastic at this point, anyone find any other odds and ends to remove?

 

I wieghed my ds full of fliuds,and it wieghed in at 505lbs!

Dry i'm guessing around 470.

And yes I know what you mean about those 450's.

i can chase those things down but dang if they don't get the jump on you. well i've been grinding on things and all but i think the shrouds and baja lights might have hurt.

 

How did you weigh yours?(Biggerisbetter). On mine (WTEC Eraser) weighed each tire on bathroom scale.
right rear 134 lbs
left rear 125 lbs
right front124 lbs
left front131 lbs

but when I put scale in front and rear, lifted and weighed each and subtracted my weight
front came out 180lbs
rear came out 180lbs
How about some of you other guys doing it the same way so we can compair? 400EX ,Z400, DS650, YFZ 450, 250R, Banchee, others? Thanks

 

wtec, I have been eyeballin those erasers. did yours come from the cyclebarn in washington? did you consider the 650 husaberg engine? a guy that I work with has a husaberg bike. he claims the 650 has 75 or so hp stock. whats your opion on that? also wanted to know how it handles on the sand.

 

it handles great and that ktm has really good power.
