DS 650 Throttle Extension
I just put mine together and took the small spring out of the thumb housing, also hold the cable vertical and use a good 3 in1 or cable lube inside the cable, you can get these from any bicycle shop and will make the cable slide better in the housing. This will help a little. Others on here did some spring mods but I'm not sure exactly what they did, but I would like to know. Also try to run the cable where you have the least amount of sharp bends, this will make it harder to push.. just my 2C.

Jerfinds,
I will try lubricating the cable and see if that works.
Do you have excess play in your throttle cable, I have experienced some throttle sticking. I did have to grind a portion of the seat plastic to make room for the MK 45. Haven't got to ride it since I did that. Maybe the carb was a little dirty causing it to stick as well

I have no play in my cable, if you do try adjusting the cable at the thumb throttle. I did not have to cut my seat either, I have plenty of room, just what part of your carb is hitting the seat. I did make one mistake when putting it together though, whenever you tighten the clamp to the rear of the carb, make sure the end of the metal strap of the clamp is not comming in contact with the max throttle adjustment screw. It did it to me at half throttle and stayed there, but I fixed it. Just work your throttle while looking at the carb to make sure nothings hitting.
