I have switch and I like it with the Vortex I have cut down on the wheel spin on take offs. Then in tight slow section of dune rides the traction map make for easer traveling. I would like to raise some of the RMP rev limits.

Huh?

The Traction map is called traction because the CDI box came from the MX world. In that world, the problem with two wheelers was the huge power band that would come on with performance CDI's at higher RPMs. Therefore, the 'Traction Maps' are simply ignition maps that have the power come on in the low RPM range. This increases torque, decreases the need to REV high to get power, and therefore decreases wheel spin; This works well with quads as well. The beauty with the Vortex, is that you can switch on the fly from a traction curve (low RPM power) to a performance curve (high RPM power). In the quad world, the traction map is used for trail riding or anytime you need more torque in the low RPM range.
