Am i the only one that wants a high proformance quad that is 4X4? we should all let them know that we want it since they are the only company that dose some thing about what we want. I think a DS650 4X4 would be a great quad they need to add reverse. What do you all think?

A high performance DS650 4x4 would be a great idea especially here in Co.- if they could keep the weight down?

if there is sufficent consumer demand it might be a possiblity, polaris appears to sell a lot of sports type 4x4 atvs......something like that would be a great idea......its more of a dunes bike though isn't it?....do people use 4x4 on dunes?

Sorry but I like high performance and the last thing I want is four wheel drive. The last thing I care about is reverse.

The perfect quad should have the option
to buy with 4wheel drive or not,
reverse or not !!

I know scrambler has 2WD or 4WD, but it auto and there is no ground clearance !!

Why have 4X4 with 6 inchs of ground clearance !!

I want to ride in the trails, the sands and also
during the winter, we have around 1000 miles of club's trails open during the winter !!

2001 Raptor ordered until they make a real sport
4X4 with manual and good ground clearance ??

Personally I would never be in the market for a DS 650 4x4, it would add weight, reduce h.p. and complicate the drive system. So if you could build one with more power and less weight then the 2 wheel version would be lighter, faster, and less complicated.(that's why I kept my 500 scrambler) it takes 2 bikes (at least) to cover all riding types. You allways have to give up something.
It would be cool if? but not realistic

you are true about weight and low ground clearance is not good and more like 3 or more bikes one true sport (for me a 250r) a woods/wet weather/snow (I would pick the 500 scrambler) and the utilty for all the pulling/snow plowing (could be a sportsman)

Come on guys. A 4x4 DS650 would be like a 4x4 Corvette. Couldn't get it sidways easy and would weigh more. In most cases AWD sports cars are dead or no one cares about them because they are boring. Quads would be the same as cars. Wheelies and kicking it sideways would not be as fun. The only thing I would think they would be good for is high speed mud bogs.

That is why I said at least 2. I also have a 335 sportsman for utility purposes. It's been to the dunes and trails but it is so slow the fun factor is way down. I had the front end break on the whoop section once(it turned out to be a missing spacer from the factory on the lower control arm)
oh well I said it before if all I had were a atc 90 I would still have fun.

If you add the option to switch from 2WD to 4WD, then you can slide and wheelie as well as a sport bike. A Scrambler in 2WD mode does not feel like a 4x4 at all. A DS with the Traxter's AWD and the ability to switch in and out of AWD would be sweet, but from what I have seen the DS is a little too wide for serious trail riding and AWD would be useless in wide open spaces. Also, I can't imagine having to turn an AWD version of one of those beasts around; it would have to have reverse.
