Default Dynojet needle Richer or Leaner than stock?

i am still trying to figure out my jetting problem.....

and was wondering....is the dynojet needle RICHER or LEANER overall than stock?

and what is the stock position on the stock needle?

The DJ needle is richer than stock and MY GOD don't use it! I just switched back to my stock needle and it's way better. Use the stock needle on the richest position like I said before. You will never have your quad jetted right with the DJ needle cuz I been trying for over a year to get it right with no luck.

So leave your stock needle in the richest position and don't touch it. Get a 170 or 175 mukuni main and you will be fine. Now you need to get a richer pilot jet for it to be rich enough from idle to 1/4 throttle. If you don't do that, changing mains and needle positions isn't gonna get you anywhere....

and of course like the rest of my DJ jets...i LOST IT!

sob.... this would probably explain my NOT BEING ABLE to freaking this thing in tune!



anyone know where i can get a stock needle besides the dealership? anyone have a stock needle laying around that i can buy?

i think i still have my stock needle and complete jet kit . u can have it...........................if i can find it.lol........let me check and i will get back with ya.

Try one off of the predator 500, it might help you out.

Thebigshow: that would be awesome if you can find it!

and maddog.... first off i dont even know if the pred. needle would fit, dont know where i could get one easier than the DS needle, and it may also be a different taper at the end....so for now i think ill keep my mission of looking for a stock needle (unless you personally have used a pred needle in your DS carb...)

if so that would be helpful.....

if i cant find anyone on here with one, i wonder if my local Bomb dealership can get one.... (well im sure they can...but i wonder how much, and how long it would take to get it...)

i found my jet kit, there is two needles in it.(not sure if either is stock)
