alright, this is good info
another point of me being off topic....approx what is the HP gain on the 46hv?
i thought the carbs were more than 500ish... i know people rave about them so it must be excellent power for the money...

The carbureitr is $550, then you'll have to buy a calbe, and perhaps a modified thumb throttle or aftermarket one. The carburetor produces about 8 HP more and 6 more ft lbs of torque. However, if you look at the dyno run you'll see something very nice - the HP & Torque curve is similar to the compairson, however the entire curve is just a lot higher! so it really improves power everywhere! I rode MRDS650's DS with the LEctron (he has nearly the same mods I do- except that he has the Lectron) and that thing was amazing!
here is a link to the dyno chart for it:

The dyno runs are actually on Buttfungus' website. If you've got an extra $550, it's seriously worth it!

The power curve is amazing, at no time above idle does it dip down in HP. Because it has a great & even power band you forget how good it is, until you get back on a stock carb DS. I would recommend a lectron 46hv, ported aluminum carb intake & billet end cap over a stage one for the money IMO. It will out run a stage one & maybe more IMO. So if you look at it that way then the money for the carb isn't a issue IMO.
