Yep, they are strip-happy, only after 1 or 2 times with normal torque.

 

i've had the same problem on my 2000 ds, but with the rear. the stock nuts and studs were junk. i went to the dealer and he said that they were too weak to handle the torque of the ds but they've made them stonger now. he got me the updated studs and nuts, and i've had no problem since.
