hey guys, im the banshee pilot in james's videos. the sound may not seem to match the speeds because of the viewing distance(just a thought.) as far as drag racing james, i dont know of another machine that can run side by side with my bike in a drag race like that. when we drag, whoever gets the holeshot wins...period. i can get him at top speed, but that takes a LONG runway. anyway, i think the sound of the videos is like a chainsaw racing a harley...hehe.

The hot setup is, get a holeshot. I have learned to sit towards the back leaned forward. When I know the bike is not gonna come up on me, I instantly lean all the way back to stop all loss of traction. I still clutch and do not speed shift per se. I always start off in first but shift very very quickly into second third and fourth. The only thing you may want to have done to the DS is have it tuned properly and read the plugs. I think I may be running lean but I think the carb is sucking air. The boot is split, and has a duct tape ring to seal it. The new boot is on its way. Email me if you have any more questions.

AS for the videos off of a VHS I do not know how to get them off of there. My friend has a digital camera with video capability.

 

What mods are on the banshee?

 

banshee mods consist of:
toomey t5 pipes
k&n filter
alba airbox lid
280 main jets
toomey needles
holeshot rear tires

...basically stock with better breathing.

 

great videos, if you can, make some more, they were pretty cool. try making them in early afternoon with the sun at your back (for more clarity)
