DS 03 or 04 how to tell ??
Can you please help
I have been offered 2 ds 650`s one is a baja x which is black and yellow and is only two rides old the guy says it an 04 model,
The other is a stock ds 650 red from a dealer and it is very well priced so how do i tell if it is a 04 or 03 model . I know there are some revisions Shorter swing arm ect but with nothing to compare that doesent help much.
Will the chassis numbers give me any clues??

The baja x is 04 for sure. There is a manufacturing identification sticker with a VIN # and the date it came out of the factory.
But if it's not an 03, the headlight assembly will be different from the 04. The 04 is made of plastic and has an outer trim to it, while the 03's have bulkier assemblies and no outer trim.
hard to explain. But if you can look at both one after the other, you will EASILY tell the difference between the headlights.
