Default Q's for DS650 owners

Hello to all the proud owners of DS650's, I have just recently purchased my first DS. I am now the proud owner of a 04 baja X, from what I am reading on here I am got a good deal, 6300 out the door. Any way I was woundering what are some basic suspension seeting to start with, I am 165lbs. , I ride fairly hard and will be doing a lot of trail and coal pit riding. And I also was woundering if there are any little things on my new quad I should check out before I go out and start riding the wheels off of her. One more thing I was woundering if there is any company that makes any headlight guards and battery box cover.

Congrats on joining the growing number of happy X owners. Enjoy. I also saw on Ebay recently a pretty nice polished batt cover.FYI. Headlight guards, good idea for where you ride, but remember....you are on an X now.....you should be roosting your buddies instead of the latter

Where are you located in PA and what dealer gave you that good price? Most of the dealers in my area are sticker only if they even have an X.

Take a look at these headlight guards - I've been considering them for a while, but never opted to buy them. They were reviewed on the ATV Connection page a while back.

Congratulations on the new Baja X & welcome to the family!

Default Q's for DS650 owners

Hello Range Rover...... I am from Bangor,Pa. That is just a little north of allentown, about 30 mins.. I bought my DS at Posch Marien, they are just outside of Easton,Pa. The next best deal I found was in Bangor, they wanted 6295 with out tax. The dealer I bought mine from was getting out of selling quads, this is his last year for them and he is just clearing out his stock. So I guess I just got lucky, when he first got them in he wanted 6500, at that time I was not sure if I was going to buy a new quad or not, since I have a 1990 quadracer 250 that I totally rebuilt. There is not a old bearing or bushing in that quad any where motor or frame. I had the motor and frame powder coated and the motor work was done by East Coast ATV. I love that machine but it is just not what I need to go riding up in new york state. It is a great machine for the coal pits, so if you know anyone that is loooking for a excellent 250 let me know. I have had my DS for two weeks now and have not had time to ride it besides 5 mins. up and down my buddys dirt lane. I am sure once I get some time in on it I will not want to get back on that 250.

DSXBEAR I saw that battery box cover on eBay but I was woundering if there is anyone out there that has bought one yet. I dont feel like spending 30 bucks a on cheap shinny piece of metal.
