Have been looking all over the net for nerfbars and 2 Have caught my eye....AC Pro-Peg nerf bars with integrated heel guards!!! or GraydonProLine nerfs....Please post your comments on what you think the best nerf bars for the DS650 baja and if YOU think they should have built in heel guards or I should buy the heel guards seperately.........

 

Graydons are the best. I worked at a dealership for a couple of years and have installed alot of them and the best and easiest are the Graydons and the worst to install are the DG. Didnt enjoy that at all. I also have the IMS heel guards but they are for the IMS pegs that are wider so I made a spacer to go between. Just my 2cents

 

I have the graydon's without heelguards and I like em' alot!

 

I have AC Pro Pegs with heel guards and luv them but they were hard to install!!!!

 

im too tired to get into it...but AC PEGS SUCK!

i think they LOOK the best of all the nerfs, and for sure are the best value...but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

i bought these nerfs for my ds back in DECEMBER.....

it is now MARCH and im STILL waiting on freakin ac racing for my new mounts....the mounts for the pegs that they came with look like a 3 year old and a box of crayons made the cad for these....absolutley horrible...

i have spent over 15.00 bucks and 2 hourso n the phone with them...and i STILL have no new mounts!

customer service is ZERO at that place.... ive even started talking with people higher up and they dont give a rats A$$ that a customer is unhappy....

sorry for the vent.... if you got some pegs with decent mounts you would probably be very satisfied...but if you do go for them HOPE you dont get a set with bad mounts!

i beleive im gonna file with my credit card company tomorrow to try and get a refund....

 

I have the standard AC. I love them!
I like the look over the graydons... I would not bother with the AC pegs and guards
I persoally would get the AC or graydons then get the IMS pegs and buckets...

 

I have just the nerf bars by ac and I think they are good. I like the fact that they mount using the front engine mount instead of the u-bolt thing. I also have heard that the pro pegs have serious mounting problems, but once they are on they are nice. I have a set of ims pegs and the ac nerf work great with them. I think that diamond g racing makes the best heel guards.

Are they hard to keep shiny?.....I want something that does not require disassembling to shine em up every 6 months [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Also how are the diamond G heel guards to keep clean? Do they work with all nerf's?

Do any of these nerf's extend past the wheel base....I saw some DG's that stuck out a little and looked like they extended past the wheels...VERY Bad!!!

 

I would just contact them about if they will work with any pegs. I don't have mine yet, so I don't know how hard they are to keep clean.
