The sand skat II's hook up really well. I have ran them before, but what really suprised me was that the new ITP sand stars are almost as good in hooking up wise as the sand skat II's. The paddles on the ITP's are just about as tall and they are alot cheaper. Hope this helps. Lance

How would a Sand Star Last longer than a Sand Skate II? I have a feeling you're thinking of Skat Trak tires. Sand Skate IIs are a molded tire and should have as good of a life span as Sand Stars, assuming the manufacturing is equal.
I have the Sand Skate IIs on one of my quads and they are a good play tire - not what you want for lots of drag racing, but a tire that wont get you stuck and will let you go most anywhere it is a great choice. If the Sand Stars hook up almost as well but are cheaper, that sounds like a nice option as well.
