The filter i have is 1 7/8" long from plate to plate not including the raise for the o ring

can you please confirm my worst fears and tell me i have the wrong one, It looks like i might have to degrade myself and buy one from my local dealer if i need to get it done

I have been trying to find a source for these filters i can get most car and truck parts trade price as the guys in the local motorfactor parts store still deal with me as i used to go there a lot when i was serving my aprentice ship.

But it looks like i have been trying for the wrong part number , If i come up with any cheap suppliers i will let u know and see if i can hook u up

 

Its ok i checked myself i have the extended cover therefore the longer filter the on it shows in my manual is the short filter with the flat cover and the filter looks just like the one i bought, thanks very much bombardier, they even have the cheek to put 2004 on the front of the guide[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

My 2001 DS650 manual shows the short filter as well. I figured since it was the first year they had probably forgotten. I guess they decided that since the procedure is the same they didn't need to change the manual. That is kind of annoying... Especially since they haven't made the change even in the 2004 manual. Oh well, I'd rather have a marginally inaccurate manual than a transmission that grenades like the 2001 Raptors any day [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
