the crank doesent have its own oil thats why you put in pre mix it takes care of crank and piston lubrication
tell you freind to get a saterday job in a bike shop it would do him good

Stihl ,has a 2 stroke that has valves,so change your thinking about how engines work!!!

 

put all the powervalves & reeds in your DS's you want. I'm putting new muffler bearings in.

Stihl 4-mix hybrid engine

 

I saw that once. Stihl also has the chain brake. Stihl prides itself on not being sold in the big Lowes types stores. Yet there they are right in Home Depot....

 

the stihl is still a four stroke just not a conventional one. four strokes means there are four strokes intake,compression,power and exhaust. a four stroke takes two crank revolutions to complete a cycle and a two stroke only takes one. hope thats right and i haven't made myself look like a fool. the stihl is just using the same type of oiling system that two strokes use. their right about a two stroke being able to run upside down. we have some two stroke engines here in the plant called M.E.Ps that were used in ships and subs. we use them to turn compressors and they can run upside down. their some wierd looking engines that have two cranks, one on top and one on the bottom of the engines. don't know what MEP stands for but i've always heard multiple engine problems which fits them good.

 

Lawnboy mowers claim to fame was their 2 stroke motors could run sideways on hills & such like. The problem is getting a lawnboy to start & if you do that stupid little front wheel lets it gouge every little bump! Most overated mowers ever! I'll take my MTD with my custom striper anyday!
