Default Big Question Cams In 2 Strokes

We are sittin around here right now and it was brought up. One buddy says that there are no 2 strokes out there in dirt bikes or atv's that have cams. And obviously the other says there are in some. What do u guys think?

ROTFLMFAO

my TRX250 has a throttle lever cam....its plastic and about the size of an oreo....but...is that not what your talking about.....NO?...didnt think so!

No valves no cams

There are some two stroke engines that have both but you wont find them in qauds or bikes they are diesels

one from the US is the detroit two stroke diesel

there is no cams in fourstrokes but there is valves in some

edit-i meant to put 2 strokes,

Thats what we were saying, but noooooooooo, he needed a little more convincing, i think we had him with this.

umm ok here's the deal, 4 strokes have valves, cams open valves, done, 2strokes have no valves, and so no cams, the only purpose of a camshaft is to operate a valve, c'mon guys, the ds is rolling with dual overhead cams, mannn that was a close one..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] josh...
