Default 99' DS650

Theres a 99' DS650 for sale by me for $3200. From what I saw it is in pretty good shape, didn't really get to get a detailed look at it b/c they were putting it away. If theres nothing drastically wrong with it, is this a decent price for one that old? Or should I stay away from one and buy a used Z400. I do all trail riding, no racing or anything. Thanks

Start here:

Read this other recent post where a guy was looking into buying a 2001 DS, the DS650 you are looking at is a 2000 model as they did not have a 99 model. (But there were at least two - three months of production in 1999, which just means it's an early 2000 model - no big deal.)

Click Here to read other forum post with excellent info about buying used.

The price sounds good if it is in good shape. Personally I would stay away from the z400 and kepp looking at DSs. The difference between the two is extreme, I like having gobs of power straight from the factory, and an ATV that is built to last. Not that a z400 is bad, (they have their niche and I'm glad Suzuki makes them) but for me personally (and 99% of other DS650 owners) the z400 is just too undrpowered and doesn't have that 'fun factor' the DS has.
