Default BMW engines made by Rotax??
Do any of you know if the BMW engines are made by Rotax or is the similarity between the BMW 650 and DS 650 motor just a coincidence??

BMW F650 and the DS650 are both made by Rotax. The BMW is EFI and the head is built to BMW Spec.

PAMI was building kits for the BMW for the Dakar races long before DS was around. FYI.

One of the Aprila bikes was at one time built with the Rotax 650 engine but, I don't think that is still the case.

I want one of those Aprilla 450s in a small Bombarider chassis. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] You know, so I can have an 'MX' style quad, since I need one so bad riding in the desert!
