I COULD BE WRONG BUT I DONT THINK YOU CAN ADVANCE ONE TOOTH FOR TWO REASONS. ONE IS IT IS TO MUCH ADVANCE OR RETARD AND I THINK YOU MIGHT RUN IN TO PISTON VALVE CLEARENCE PROBLEMS. NOY 100 PECENT SURE THOUGHT.

other what? other cam timing with stock cams? other cam grinds?

I retarded the stock intake cam for more upper RPM power and to reduce valve overlap for the turbo. That's all I really tried.

I have a set of web 109's but only had them in for an hour. I had a bunch of unrelated problems surface so I put the stock cams back in, and fixed the problems to get the DS running again, so I didn't get a chance to come to a conclusion on the 109's.

So for stock cams on a stock quad with a pipe, advancing or retarding the cams is outta the question?

if you're mechanically inclined you can try retarding the intake cam and see if you like it. it will probably have slightly better topend power with maybe a slight reduction in lowend torque. i don't do any work on a dyno so i can't say for sure. i've asked other DS builders about this and they don't respond. i guess it makes sense - why would they spend time dynoing stock cams in retarded/advanced positions, if it works better than stock they are losing business by not selling aftermarket cams.
