i was just thinking, and thought i would throw one more thing out there. When i changed my oil last, there were a few metal shavings in there (a bit bigger than i would liked to have seen...)
would that cancel out the possibility of the tensioner? (or i suppose the snapping could be the one way, and the grinding noise be the tensioner...)
so to get to the bearing you have to have a flywheel puller? How long would it take to get in there if you had a puller? (im thinking i may let my local shop to that)
and then as to the tensioner, what do i have to pull to get to that? (is it under the valve cover?) (how will i (being of very little engine knowledge) be able to tell if its loose needs to be tightened/replaced ?)
Thanks
