85 mph stock??/

someone said that on there ds650(just a big gun slip on) was side by side with a street bike and the bike said it was doing 85. i dont believe this for stock gearing and only a slip on. what do u all think? could it be possible?

78 MPH with stock CDI and Gearing The newer DS (i think 2002 and up) have a stock rev limiter of like 7800 or 7900, So horsepower is not a factor when it comes to top speed. My 2001 with 22 inch tall rear tires should do like 83 according to the gearing calculators.

Most land speedos are pretty darn accurate regardless of what they are on. Now a boat speedo is a different story.
