Big Bores

What options are available for the DS as far as big bore kits goes? I know about Mr. Horsepowers, but thats pretty expensive.
The thing is, my buddy just wrecked his piston and cylinder wall, due to a blown ring. The head is savable... So I was thinking of selling him mine and using that money to bore out his cylinder and whatnot and buy a new piston. Of course paying some extras...
So can anyone tell me what is avilable for the DS? And what prices would be perfect as well.

You could get your jug bored to a 102mm then re-niked. The Bom should be able to help you with a piston for this set-up. He can also give you some sources for re-coating the cylinder.
I agree with what is said though. Head work and cams will net you the most gains. A high compression piston in the stock jug will get you very near the power of a 680 (102mm bore.) But, if the jug is ruined, you may as well go to the 102 and a high compression piston. Get some port work and cams to go along with the 680 and it is a monster.

The 680 is an awesome trail and dune build.
The Pami 703 has more torque which is nice for the trails. The 703 isn't a low price option that TheChosenOne was looking for though.
You want to look at a total build package. Cams, high compression piston and port work net an amazing gain in power. The 680 is an inexpensive solution to the bad cylinder that needs repair work anyways and at the same time will give a marginal power gain.
Cams will add top end power but, can also decrease low end grunt. High compression adds overall power helping out what the cams take away.
As for pricing - Ask The Bom, Mr. HP (hpresearch - dot - net), On Dunes Performance, Ron Wood, TVI and Team Pami. I don't like to get into it that far. On the other hand if you don't feel comfortable researching your own pricing send someone on here a PM, see if they wouldn't mind a phone call and before you call get your list of questions together.
If you already have in mind a budget you want to keep within it is easier to tell you what you CAN do with a specific amount of money. Does that make sense?

Awsome man that makes sence. He is trying to tell me now that he is just goin gto get it sent in and recoated or whatever. I am trying to sell him mine cuz it would only make sense. And why only go to a 680? If you have to bore and coat anyways, why not milk that cylinder for all it's worth?
