I know that this subject has been beaten to death for paddles but what I want to know is what about tires for hard packed dirt and a little bit of sand and mud? I have all my mod's in my signature. I've been thinking about 20" Holeshot's but I'm not sure. I'm not really totally concerned with top speed what I'm more looking for is acceleration. (but I don't want to give up too much top end to my buddy's raptor[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]) Please somebody help me out here because I really don't know much about tires.

 

i am going with your exact set up and was wondering the same thing

this is what i was told 22 inch xct's(or similar like razor2) , you get

an extra 2 inch clearance, performance goes way up and if you want

they say drop a tooth in the front and it will be sick!


how do you like the yellow hmf..color, sound and performance?

The color is close but not perfect but I still like it a lot. The machine woke up a lot after the pipe and jetting, I'm totall satisfied with the pipe all around. Oh almost forgot it got a WHOLE LOT LOUDER than stock.

One of the best things about the HMF exhaust is the angle of the end cap itself. If someone is naive enough to pull up right behind you to park, you can just about knock them off of their bike with just a blip of the throttle, LOL.

 

Almost forgot, ... I really like the 22" Pure Sport Bandit XC rear tires I have on my DS. For sandy rocky terrain they are better than either Holeshots or especially Razrs.

 

my friend had bandits. They seemed like they slipped alot on hard pack is they were wet at all.
I rode with 04BAJAXrider last Friday. He has 22" Razr2 tires. They are good tires I think. The outside of the lugs are soft. They seem to bite like crazy.
Myself, I'm waiting on the 20" I-Razrs. I like 20's myself. I get hung every once in awhile though where 22's would be better.

I like the Shredders, they have great grip and wear well. I now have them on three bikes.
