Lectron 48 VS duel carbs
bigwaynester, no i took my carb off alky about a month ago, i liked the wide range of power it made but i didnt like the hassle...lol...
sandman, i still like my 45 , but i just think there is more power to be had from a bigger carb....lol..i just cant deside which one to go with...why dont u get both of them and u can give me a review on which is stronger..lol

I have had the dualls, and they have great top end hp but lack bottom end "on gas", but the 48hv IMO revs much faster and produces torq alot earlier in the rpm range. The lectron48 NEEEDS to be dialed in exactly for the flow and headwork of the motor to see full potential.. Mine revs instantly past 10k when free reving. I "think" mine is a 48/50. The re-enforced (clamps)snorkle tube is a must for this carb. On the dyno gains which I have posted info in the past, I have gained substantially w/ the lectron 48 over the tm 48.. The big gain was in the power curve and torq # And real time testing on the hill was a nice gain. Also works good with nos.

Bigshow, I definiatly think the lectron is more consistant.. I have taken it to 5k ft elevation and did not have to make any adjustments and I felt no power loss with the lectron.
The seat of the pants power increase is very noticable between the dualls and the single. I have not dynoed the dualls, they did not get out of the hole like a single..IMO
Trust me, once you get the lectron 48 dialed in with the right needle and power jet, you should not have to touch it for tuning.
I actually went up one tooth on the counter sprocket and launched alot harder in 2nd with the 48mm, with the dualls, I came out of the hole like a snail but it started to make good power on the top end, but by then it was too late..
I also do think the price of both carbs are rediculous, sorry JMO.
