Default WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners

2002 Baja and ive never had a problem, im sure we've all put the seat back on and did not line up the tabs perfect before, i have, ive even run mine with the seat like that (not realizing till a min after) and still never had a problem. I like the seat setup on the DS, WAY WAY easier than other models ive seen, ex: 300ex, 400ex, YFZ.

Default WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners

My seat use to pop off all of the time "thanks to my own dumb a$s". I am one of those people who like to ride things, but not read the manual. I was riding the first two days that I had my DS and the front seat posts were coming out left and right. Well after bitching to my girl for two days I read the manual and noticed that there were actually metal rails that they needed to go in. Now I am more than happy with the seating situation.

A friend of mine hit a tree with his 01. Bent the frame but the seat still stayed on-he replaced the frame and the bike still runs strong. These bikes are built tuff but he has never had a seat problem-are you just not putting it on correctly? I am going to buy an 05 bomb because of how reliable they are.
