fuel set up ??????
OK I have no chance of getting my bike on a dyno to set it up but i could get a gas analyser to check the fuel mixture but only reving the bike out of gear.
What are your thoughts on how well this would work.
i can get the whole rev range but not full throttle at 5k for example.
Also will a ds turn a car dyno or will it be too much for it any body tryed

I have ran my 720 on a car/deisle truck dyno for the last few years. It is a hard pull, but just "ok" for tuning. I actually dont like to recomend a car dyno though with a big azz heavy, single, drum..
What mods do you have and what kind of fuel are you running @ what elevation? Maybe we can get ya close.
Lean isnt mean IMO- I have a dark plug and burn gas like alky.. Never have used a air/fuel analyser, But it may help.

just reving the motor with an exhaust gas analy will not simulate what your motor is doing under load and will not do anything as far as help you tunning. You can buy an O2 sensor and bung for about $50 ( the bung needs to be welded in place- maybe $20 at a shop if you don't have one)and a LCD A/F read out for about $80. Install it on the bike and you'll be able to see exactly what the motor is doing as you drive. It's cheaper than a single dyno session and you'll always have it regardless of what carb you may be running. This is a great tunning tool!

I have the hp reasearch end cap and intake manifold, stock filter. 4 coils of carb spring
I run at the beach so from sea level to a couple of hundred feet
i use 95 octane fuel and the temp is usualy from 7 to 20 degress c
i like the sound of the permenant gas analiser i will read more on it when i get time
I can make the bike run ok but i would like to know its perfect.
there are no dynos that will take quads in the country as far as i know but there is a car one 50 miles away, im not sure yet if they will selll time as they usualy tune the motors (car-computer) themselves and i would rather do the bike myself.

Using a lower octane fuel should help. You could probably run 12:1 compression with 95 octane where you are only at 9.7:1. If I were you I would try around 89 octane. lso I would recommend an aftermarket filter, the stock paper filters seem very restrictive, even foam would be an improvement.

I cant use lower octane as we only have 95 regularor 98 premium pump gas here
I was under the impression that the stock filters flowed realy well Im sure i read that here at some time. So i wasnt going to replace it until it was dirty, But if that is the case i will change it am i right in thinking that no toil filters are top of the heap at the moment
I will have to get it shipped from the US as i cant ghet them here.
I think i will also look into fitting a sensor
Prozack how did you do irt so cheap have you got details ??
