Well I have a 2003 Skidoo 800 Renegade. Put a 151" track on when go out to Wyoming for a week. But have no 4 wheeler yet. Planning on getting one this spring. Think snow [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].

 

what do all of you recommend for good warm riding clothing, in so. cal we are not that educated on such things..

 

are you asking about snowmobile clothing or atv clothing? for snowmobile clothing i have reima. very warm and keeps me dry. also like klim. except the stuff is not inexpensive. of course everything is expensive when it comes to fun. not too sure about atv clothing since i do not own an atv yet - getting one this spring.

 

the temp at night in the high desert drops below freezing often, then the wind just about blows ALWAYS. makes standing around tuff.
just looking to keep warm while side walk racing.

 

hey weekend what kind of wheeler you getting? ds i hope i went from a skidoo 98 mach 1 to a ds and i love it, i am loyal to bombardier lol, where in mn are you? i live in red wing, next summer a buch of us minnesota guys should get together some weekend and ride, there is another member on this board that lives in hudson and another in rosemount one in chaska and a couple others

 

i live in Ramsey, 10 miles south of Elk River and about 40 miles north of twin cities. never rode a skidoo until i bought mine, nobody else made what i wanted and i and so glad i bought a skidoo. have always liked skidoo for sleds (plus i like yellow) so never planning on getting anything but a skidoo from this point on. not sure about wheeler that i am going to get. looking at honda trx400, trx450r, yamaha raptor 660 and yzf 450, suzuki z400 (then i have heard that kawasaki and arctic cat wheelers are the same as susuki's - not interested in cat or kawasaki). i really like the ds but it is a lot bigger than other wheelers. and the only riding i have done with my friend this year (he has a honda 300ex and a honda 250) is on some trails. so am curious as to how the ds does in tighter trails. plus it does not have reverse. the yzf, ds, 450r all do not have reverse. have always liked how the ds looks. the kind of riding plan on doing will be probably trail and just racing with friends. really would like to get into jumping too. it also depends on how much money i can save up this winter. that may determine what atv i get. would prefer a new one if i can afford it. any feedback on the ds will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

 

I feel your pain. The only time I see snow around here is when the local mall puts up the Santa display.
