FYI, I have it on video. The kid raceing his dad and they both were on cr 500s. The margin is what I said.

Quadlt500racer- The hill is longer in person, Probably 5-600ft high. And much longer then that. BTW- That is quit an assembly of toys you have, can you post a pic of you bikes? That would be a site to see.

Annihilater, I just watched the CR500 vid and that was very impressive but it didn't look like he got much of a launch, that CR should have pulled a wheelie from bottom to the top of the hill. I'd love to have a try with my old CR500, I can't say I can recall ever getting beaten[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Your wrong, It wont stomp the Ktm, It loses.. Plain and simple.
I own a 98 300 EXC, an 01 300 EXC, 01 400 EXC, and a 03 525 EXC, I also own an 87 cr 500 Stock and beautiful and a 96 kx 500 thats pushing close to 90 hp at the rear wheels thats soley for fun.
I have had the KX since new.

I will tell you without a doubt, the KTM has more everywhere other than the top (and will tie it on top)than the kx ever did before I started Modifying it. the EXC's run a heavier flywheel, so it's not as abrupt as the SX, the sx is a few pounds lighter, quicker, and loses a bit of bottom end.

Trust me on this, I have done this race against a 97 Kx 500 thats running a Gnarly pipe and a K & N
I was running a White Brothers E-series, K & N... On a Dry Flat field, I won by 1/2 a bike length, 7 of 9 times.. The SX is faster than the exc.

At ANY rate.. SInce this Is a Bomb forum , I have a legitimate Bomb question. My Wife and I are looking at trading the Traxter MAX line. Does the Traxter MAX ride any different than the QUEST max?
Or is it the same frame, suspension etc.. with a different motor/tranny?
Have heard some people complaining about the ride of the traxter, I could only assume that the max, being longer and heavier should ride better?

 

Who really cares even if 300ex beats my stock ds...

I just glad i got a quad and i having the time of my life each time i ride it....

And as for the ktm guy.... You wanna make people aware of your fast KTM?
