well the ds650 is kinda big no kidding right..for really small trails it is not as good but i managed to switch from a warrior to ds650 and stay on the same trails i havent found any trails that are to small for it or that i cant ride on if u compare it to say a raptor or 450r they are a better trail quad i think anyways.

I ride mine 99% trails and track and it works great for me. If the trails are really tight then it might be a little big.

I race mine all over Florida. It's all trails. Some tighter than others. In the year that I have owned my DS, I have learned to manuver quick enough to be competitive. I learned that when you have a tight set of trees that if you hammer on the gas the front comes up and becomes a little narrower. I have also learned that if your line is not right you will go flying over the handlebars when your quad hits one of the trees!
I rode my friends Raptor one day and found myself wishing I had my DS. The Raptor was easier to manuver, but not as comfortable.
I'm just not understanding why where you ride "u got to have a fast quad"

I ride mine on the trails and I have no problems what so ever. It's big but it shure is comfortable In fact tomorrow I will be on the trails here, after it rained most of the week. Oh man I hope I can sleep tonight

I love mine in the trails, the old standard DS's were a bit twitchy, my cousin had one before his YFZ450, but the Baja edition handles so much better, i couldnt believe the handling difference between my cousins and mine, and mine is a 2002. Now the DS's are smaller, so will trail better than ever.
I always laugh when ppl say the DS's are so bad for the trials becuase they are so wide. Then they say what they have and how its such a better trail machine, and it handles so much better wit their +2 a-arms and +2 axle!! Yes wider is better i say
