Check your float level. Mine did the same, reset the level lower and worked fine.

1st check the overflow tube that ends by the swingarm and make sure its not plugged.
Get a clear piece of tubing and hook it to the float bowl drain and take the other end and tape it up above the carb. Now open the drain screw and gas will flow into the tube and settle at your fuel level (bike on level ground) I am guessing the fuel level should be around 1/2 inch from where the carb joins the float bowl. Take off the float bowl and look at the float, there is a little tang that pushes on the needle valve (stopper). iI you bend the tang slightly up the float won't have to come up so high to press on the needle. It's pretty simple once you look at it. just tweak it alittle, it can easily be bent back. Get the bowl really clean while you are in there. Check your new level against what it had and you should have lowered it somewhat. For rough offroad use I try to keep my level as low as I can get away with.
Make sure the little anti slosh collar is still around the main jet.
I hope this helps, it doesn't sound very technical compared to some advise here but it's the basics.

That's a good way to do it. That seemed to cure my problem also. If you happen to set it too low you might end up starving when on a good wide open run. If you do a search, there is an actual setting when you have the carb off and upside down. You can measure and set to specs. The tube is a little easier and doesn't require removal.
