Ok, I got word that several neighbors aren't happy with my exhaust (stock pipe and Mr. HP end cap). I am very careful not to open it up in the neighborhood and rarely even ride after dark. So my question is, which pipe will quiet it down without slowing me down [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Do you ride around your neighbors a lot or is it just when you leave and come back.

the end cap is loud i have one on my ds , but if its only for a short pass by and they aint asleep

its nice to see that you are concerned about them though

maybe have a chat with them,,,see what their concerns are,,,,,,a little bit of that goes a long way

Anyone running an FMF powercore? I heard they are quiet and won't cut power. Thoughts?

 

Neighbors? Try living in an apartment! Its hard to even spend 30 seconds loading/riding the quad up into my truck. Although there are no rules for the apartment complex about vehicle noise, aparently there are city ordinaces - I have to now wait until 7am to load it!

 

I gota say that Bing has the right Idea. IF... you want to be on good terms with the neighbors I would say talk to them in person. Hear what they have to say, Its too easy to talk bad about somebody if you never get to meet them face to face. They may appreciate the fact that you have the ***** to talk to them. If they turn out to be A-holes than at the very least the other people in your neighborhood will know that you tried to do the right thing. Perhaps its just a matter of not gettting on the gas till your down the road and out of earshot.
Ive got neighbors whos babys room is close to my drive way so I try to be mindfull when working in the garage or warming up the F250 at 3:00am.

Just a thought.... Its getting hard to find good neighbors.
