difference with shocks

Default difference with shocks

whats the difference between triple rate quad rate resivors dampiners and all this stuff on shocks these days? im really confused and plan on buyin shocks for my ds 650 i seen elka has shocks wit resivors for 850 is that a good price?

elka would be top notch for the ds, tcs has very nice shocks also, their price is cheaper, but elka is better. $850 is a good price on ds shocks, they retail for $895

If I was going to pony up that much cash, I would go the extra bit and ensure I got compression and rebound adjustable shocks. I don't think the remote rezzy elkas @ $850 are adjustable.

I have Works triple rate shocks with rezzies and really like them.
Get something with rebound and comprssion adjustments. that way you can dial in your suspension.....determine the stiffness (or softness of the ride) with compression and how the quad reacts when the shock rebounds (how fast the shock comes out of compression..........also, works, elkas, most major brands sell shocks by riders weight.

Also, go with the 5/8" shafts (instead of the 1/2" standard)
