front mudgards , does taking them off give problems /

Take off the fronts in the sand, you don't need them and it saves a little weight. I used a busted rear fender to make a dune fender, it was real small, but I had no problems with it except I had no heal guards.

If you are riding in wet sand, and you have knobbie front tires, then you get pelted. I didn't feel like putting the front fenders back on, so I went and got the sand star front tires. Problem solved. No more chunks of wet sand nailing me every time I turn.

last trip to little sahara,ok the first day the sand was wet and compacked, i kept hearing this ting-ting sound off my helmet well it was sand flying off my front tires and dropping down on my helmet. later in the day the sand dried out and no big deal. i have a different set of plastic for dune riding and then switch back when we get home."fyi" chicks dig the cut plastic and no front fenders
