i took the frame to a place near me and it was not prepped at all. it was dirty and everything. the guy did my frame and swingarm for 160.00 out the door. he sandblasted it to bare metal of course beforehand and i could not believe that price. that price was for any color as well, even metalics. i am probably going to get my whole exhaust ceramic coated next. i think i got a good deal.

Awesome tread idea. . . I'll be reviewing it closer when it is time to do my bike.

I clear powdercoated my axle last year after polishing it. Held up great to riding on rocky trails. Just tape from outside of threads to the other shoulder on the other side. Keeps thread and races clean.

The threads where the locking nut goes to the other side . Just where the the carrier and sprocket and brake hubs are.

I know Epic Suspensions is building a new DS650X from the ground up for a friend of mine. They sent the frame, a-arms and swingarm out to a powdercoater in Oregon who is powdercoating the frame a burnt orange and the suspension black chrome. Apparently they have a process that is supposed to look like colored chrome. When it's done I'll post pictures.
