Blue,

Well, if what you say is true then it would have been in Tozer's and the events best interest for Tozer to have been truthful. Rather than a posting here, which was virtually a press release, going on and on about how excited they were that they obtained a permit and that everything was official and legal, they should have just told the truth.

Which was either they were denied a permit or didn't want to ask for one for fear of being shut down.

This wasn't a small lie that was some off-hand remark buried in some thread. This was a brand new posting entitled, "It's Official" or something very similar, and contained therein was paragraphs of text talking about how they obtained the permit when permits normally aren't ever issued. In other words, we are talking a blatant lie! Did I say blatant lie?????

The reason for the lie? There were people posting here that they wouldn't attend, if the event didn't have a permit, for fear that the event might get cancelled out from under them.

You can defend them all you want or try to make it out that I did something wrong but the bottom line is they came here and very, very blatantly lied to our members.

Based on the lies, the members made their decision if they wanted to attend or not. No matter how you cut it, that is just plain wrong.

Since the event originated here and our name was affiliated with it, I had every right to investigate and make sure that our members were being treated with the respect that they were due.

If Tozer told you he would pay you $10,000 for filming the event and then afterwards you found out he had lied. Is that acceptable?

People want to be treated with respect and they want to be told the truth.

Enough said.

I understand your points. I also know all intentions were good and the blm had a permit in hand and yanked it at the 11th hour. I also know the Banshees have been running Thanksgiving for umteen years and the four strokes could and did the same thing MLK weekend and will for umteen years to come.

Everyone knew there would not be a permit for III and IV and more and more came anyway. I just think that a few people used the permit thing as tool to jump on Tozer. Remember the constant crying about whoops. It is the same thing to me....just crying. Its ATV's and racing for crying out loud. Life is too short to be so serious in my book. This 2 year old stuff is old to me. Time to enjoy the aloha

enough said. I will shut my pie hole now.

Congrats to Mr Hp!!! You do some excellent work. Those 6 or 8 pammy's guys have got to be running those phone bills up talking to godfried about needing more power.

While i will never own a sand pig some of you guys have truly, truly built some of the most wicked and good looking quads out there

While i never agreed with the BS that surrounded FWS 2 i am glad that no one was seriously injured this year. The scariest part to me about putting on a event is the possibility of a major crash. It looks to me that Tozier could find himself in a bad situation one day if the worst happened. the main reason the ATPT event has been shortened to 300 feet is to hopefully keep a accident from becomeing much worse.

The racing at these events is always secondary to guys getting to meet there interent friends. The results of all these races are different in everyones eyes that were there. You sometimes wonder if they were at the same event.

Roost- FSW's has not caused the builders to step it up. What are you smoking? There is probably in excess of 100,000 sport quads a year produced by the manufactures. Sparks, Craycraft and Kenz are not building that many My guess is that sparks does around 35 raptors a year, Kenz 10 and Craycraft 100. Trinity is still banging out even more

Mark, my three year old Trinity bike got smoked SO BAD by rapfams sisters Craycraft bike on Thanksgiving I had to hide from her last weekend for fear of getting another beat down.

the only injury I know of was rapfams dad and the sparks youngster on friday. I came up with the rule that all riders must be able to bench press 135 lbs to participate on sunday.

Just when it was starting to sound like a Yammy forum 14 showed up. . . lol

Bash Pami all you want, they had the same number of Trophy's as Craycraft (Don't know if any Pami's actually ran the race )

I agree with you on one thing 14. . . Most people come to meet other people. My group ended up pulling out on Saturday (had been there most of the week riding already.) But, I at least got to stay long enough to see many of my old friends. Got to meet a few new ones and missed connecting with a number of people I would have liked to have met.

Hope to see you guys this year at Sand Mt. for Labor Day Weekend (Some know this as DS Days). No permits, just good camping and friendly racing and riding.

P.S. If I offend anyone else that isn't my intention. I just don't see any reason for the kind of post 14 put out.

It's going to be a interesting year for racing to say the least.

FSW's didn't make builders step it up. Just more builder's showed up at FSW's. There has always been fast quads around the country and now the westeners are starting to see some of them. I'm sure MR.HP and other's would have still developed their motors even if there wasn't a FSW's. FSW's is however a excellent event to show the goods for all the press it recieves.

Good Job Horsepower Research!

These guys thought up the event and followed through to come up with THE four stroke event in the country. FSW is an awesome event and I can't see anyone intentionally lying about it. I want to thank every sponsor and any person that has been involved with it. I was at the event in question and it was completely explained that while they couldn't obtain a permit the event would go on. BLM can't stop two guys from finding out who is the fastest and that is what it comes down to. It's a big loosely played weekend of friends gathering.
dbeck, I don't know the you or anyone involved in setting up FSW but I think you need to attend to see for yourself. I don't know if you have kids or common sense but children shouldn't be racing quads that even adults are having troubles controlling. I don't get to read every thread but I can never recall anyone trashing those kids directly. They should be prouder than hell for their accomplishments, BUT they shouldn't have been there. Can they race Nascar, Indy, horse race? Anywhere their light weight is the advantage?
I'd say the worst trashing I've seen on this forum has just come from you to someone you won't allow a rebutal!
It's your show and you get to do with it as you please but note that pulling the FSWs threads will probably result in a large loss of forum members.
