Dumont Annual Cleanup 12 March - Who's Going?
Hey guys, we need as many folks as possible to come out for a fun morning of giving back to Dumont (by picking up some), meeting new friends, enjoying hot dogs and burgers courtesy of the BLM, as well as getting a chance of winning some cool raffle prizes ( I won a cool LED whip 2 years ago at the cleanup).
Again, it's a good time and a good cause. See you out there!

I bought a season pass; let me advise you all: do not buy the season pass from the vending machine out there. It is a $60 piece of heat paper that you have to leave on your dash in the sun. I spoke to someone at the company who sells these and she agreed this wasn't the best idea but couldn't offer a better solution other than to call and order one of the plastic placards instead. (They also hand out the plastic placards when the rangers are out etc. on busy weekends.)
As for the cleanup it sounds amsuing, I don't know if I'll be there or not - this weekend we'll be at Glamis though!

Annual Permits ($60) are available:
1. by phone from Western Maintenance Co. - call (760) 726-6055.
2. on site from vendor on duty.

Dumont Annual Cleanup 12 March - Who's Going?
I sat out the cleanup last year because of the fee issue but this year I'm over it. Although I still don't agree with it in concept that's the way it is almost everywhere now and these agencies have congressional approval now to do it permanently. The bottom line for me is that it's a good time and it's for a good cause.
As for the season pass, the one I got is made of yellow paper (semi-card stock) and is low tech compared to the hologram plastic-"e" one that Glamis uses.
Come out guys, there's an excellent opportunity for us to hook up and group ride on a fairly "off" weekend.
