I have been wanting to build a drag fourwheeler for the past year (Ever since I saw the first Busa powered Ds 650's) and now that I have alot of the components to start building one I was wondering if there are any serious race setups already out there. I am mainly going to be running 1/8th mile. There is alot of information on Banshees but I am just trying to be different and I am doing this just for fun. I am just trying to get some ideas on swingarms and shocks. I am looking at the Ace fabrication +8 swing arm.
Please post what your setups are and what your times are.
thanks in advance,
Brandon

my first thought was a tripple rotax out of a snow machine. that would be fun. there is guy over here building single seat buggys like mine with those engines. I have went and looked at them. he says they rip pretty good. allthough I have never seen them in action. I think he use's the 670 rotax in them.

Thanks for the response. I already have my motor it is an 04 CBR 1000 sportbike motor. I was trying to find a gsxr1000 kit but I came across a pretty good deal on the Cbr kit. Just trying to get all of my suspension stuff together and would like to see everyones combinations like types and lengths of swingarms, shocks, wheel and tire combos etc...
thanks,
Brandon

Brandon, I had a custom swingarm built by southern style raceing out of La. DS up front and Banshee in the rear cause there is a great shee alum axle made by jj&a that does a great job of standing up to the abuse of drag raceing and is very adjustable for chain and brakes. The shock mount can be custom how you want it. I have a pic14 of my setup on the ds. Hope this helps a little
