FIRST-- someone tell me what happened to THE BOM??? and is he alright?
second, GREAT JOB to sandbomer, andHPR for representing the DS community.... I figured that it being a PlanetSand enent that it would dominated by 2-stroke classes, and the 4 strokes would be a Novalty, but hopefully some additional respect was earned from the 2-stroke boys this weekend.
I would have liked to have seen the looks on the Sparks boys faces, LMAO!!

From what I understand, The bom had an accident before he left for the trip somehow he hit his head. Friday at the races he had a black spot in his vision that morning. By the afternoon it worsened to the point that He could only see his hand when he was holding it above his head.
He went to a hospital in Monroe and had emergency surgery on his eye. He had a detached retna I think is what I was told. He was back at the track Saturday. Im sure when he can he will feel in the rest.

Oh man, I hate to hear that about THEBOM. I was really looking forward to the results that his bike would be throwing down.
BTW, Congratulations to 222 for making Sandbombers bike shine and to Eric for laying it down on a stock bore/stroke DS 650, yall have made us proud! Keep up the good work

I'm back home and had time for some rest. I want to thank everyone for there thoughts and prayers for this eye surgery I had. It put a damper on the week end but it was still good to see every one.
I guess for me it was not my week end. My first pass Thur felt good till about the 175 to 200ft mark then I felt it nose down. I was trying a new moloy ring made for top fuel motors. I guess it and nicisil doesn't like each other. The plugs were fine, just a lot of oil blow by out the exhaust pipe and vent. The drag Banshee I was racing I was about 1/4 track ahead till it layed down. The Banshee ran a 4.5 and even off the throttle and coasting through I ran a 4.7 at 60mph. I have this on tape ,I will try to get it posted on my site when I get feeling better.
I have never seen or met such a top notich group of racers at one race in my life. The old saying (Best of the Best) don't even cover this Great group of racers.
And congratultions to Sandbomber and HP Research for the win!! Till we meet again.
