Default chain guard

I am going to buy a ds650 next week and I wanted to go ahead and buy a chain guard. Can ya'll give me any ideas on what kind of guard and where to look for one.

chain guard?? do you mean the front sprocket cover??? or a skid plate for the swingarm that protects the chain??

Hmmmm........ That was the first thing that came OFF of my new bike when I was a kid. Chain gaurds weren't "cool"! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

sorry for calling it the wrong name, that is what I have heard them called. I am talking about a skid plate for the swingarm that protects the chain.
I have been reading what ya'll type so I can try to learn more about the atv's. I appreciate any info but i do not care for any smart a$$ comments.

1surveyor,
The stock skid plate is pretty good on a DS 650. Most of us that ride in rocky areas (desert racing) use 22" rear tires anyway, so ground clearance is quite good. I've owned three DS 650s in the last five years, and have never used an aftermarket swingarm skid plate. I have only bent one rear sprocket in five years, so in my opinion an aftermarket swingarm skid plate on a DS 650 is just a pretty boy decoration type mod. Have fun with the new DS.
