I washed my DS today and stood it on it's rear grab bar with the fuel off. Well after I got done washing it, it wouldn't start. I heard a gurgling sound coming from the right side also. After about 20 minutes I held the throttle wide open and fired it a few times, the third time it started and ran fine.
What's the deal I have cleaned every quad I have owned like this, should I not do this with the ds? Did I flood it doing this?
AND yes I turned the fuel back on right away.

hey dude, all the gas that was in the carb went out the bowl inlets and vents and down into your air filter, making it not flow so much air, as in basicly a cap over your intake, it probably ran rich as hell once you got it fired up, the soaked air filter probably acted like a choke of sorts. nuthin to worry about, i usually wash mine on all fours and will put a bag over the air filter and cover the exhaust tip with a bag too so i dont get them too wet. latesss josh..
