Stock oil tank will cost 219.When i bent the fill tube i bent it back and had a friend weld
the crack.

 

If you have any experience in welding, I would look into making your own oil tank. An oil tank is a really simple piece to make, just like making a fuel tank. And too bad only two were made by Pingry, but 500 does seem a little steep, don't ya think?

 

Well I weighed the stock oil tank tonight & it was only approx 7lbs empty. I still plan on buying some materials to take to may fabricater for a lighter one.

I need to recalibrate the scale. I think it sould be closer to 8lbs give or take. I'm shooting for 2.5 lbs on the new one with aluminum. someone should be able to get lighter with different materials. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
