I just recieved my new carb. WTF do I do with the wires? Also, In the top/middle/front of the carb, there is a nut with a rubber top, what's that? Man, it's been way too long since I've had a carb open.

Couple of things to do:

First, go to servicehonda dot com and print off the carb assembly schematic for the 450R, so you can see parts and carb diagram. The black top bolt on the carb is the hotstart (plug it), and the rest of the wires are not used either.

Second, go check out the original thread titled "...Poor man's upgrade on DS?" I posted, and it explains what to do with the wires and how to plug the hole.

Third, PM member named "Sparky..." who already installed this carb on his DS and has it running well. Ask him for tips for the DS installation and possibly jetting suggestions.
