Default Help Fast Plz

I just had my 2003 DS650 Baja out for a run and when i go to slow down to come to a stop the bike makes a sound thats sounds like the engine locked up or something(metal on metal) (sounds like its coming from the front of the engine)and then the bike cuts out. Then it starts up again no problem and might not do it for a few more hours. I figured at first i need more oil so i checked oil and it was good but there was some kind of white resido that kinda looked like milk around the outer layer inside the oil tank but i don't think its mixed with the oil. My question is does anyone know what might be happening to my bike and what could that white stuff be.

03 Ds650 Baja, maxxis razors, Big Gun full system race series exhaust, big gun rev kit, K&N air filter/jet kit.

Did you put a CDI on your DS? If so sometimes if your idle is too low it will kickback and make a gear crunching sound from near the starter.

hey...guess what... better go ahead and order a starter clutch-sprag! Is it a loud SNAP of metal on metal? That is what mine did...before I sadly had to replace everything. I ended up just buying an entire motor instead of dropping 450 for the damn parts.

I am 90% sure that is your problem, because that is exactly what mine did.

I'm going to put my stock CDI back on. I have the Procomm and have heard this noise when I stall the machine. I'm becoming paranoid after reading about this issue from time to time. It's only happened two or three times since I installed the CDI (December 2004). Outside of that, the machine runs great and the extra RPM bandwidth keeps me off the rev limiter. I guess I'll save my $$$ and order a Vortex down the road.
