Sounds like Jeff was probably the fastest at least of the DS's. Doesn't sound like he got to prove himself against everyone though. . .
From what I hear the bikes that were out there (Drag Shee's and Street-bike conversions, Snowmobile Conversions, tripple cylinders, etc.) made Jeff look as slow as a stock DS vs. a full Race DS (Don't shoot the messenger here. . . that's just what I heard.)
There are some amazingly fast bikes up there on Memorial Weekend.

The fast hill was pretty much being used by the two strokers, with some exceptions. Those that wanted could have thier quad radared for top speed up the fast hill. There were about 6 radar guns I saw by folks at the bottom. This is pretty much how it works at Sand Mountain - Its all about the fastest speed up the hill, not nessesarily which quad beat the other guy in a two or three person drag. Most of the fast runs were done with a single quad going up the hill.
I dont know if Jeff got his quad radared or not.

There was a 730 on nos running, not sure if it was a hpr motor and a stroker trx450r (503cc's) that were probably running in the 60+mph range. They were buddies always racing each other and they were always side by side at the top. Not sure if it's the same 730 you heard about
