Default How do you test the stator?

Ok, I just tested the bike. with the meeter on the bat. and the bike running the meeter showed just under 12 v. I had my wife rev up the bike and no change. I got to the yellow wires coming from the side of the case and they read zero ac volts. all three of them and while reving up the bike. The Bat. is the original and still going strong on my 2000 bike. But the stator is aparently DEAD DEAD and oh yea DEAD. I guess I'll have to try a new one
