Default another valve question.

can the valves be adjusted with the head out of the bike. I have shim unders and it looks like it would be easier to do that way so I don't have to keep messing with the chain. Oh, I'm putting rings on my piston and new cams in which is why the heads off already. Thanks.

H should be fine just need the cam support torqued to spec when checking but i'm sure you know this...you MIGHT get a little tighter reading in the far valves (furthest from cam sprocket) without the cam chain installed...JMO
