Default Shifting issues

hey guys I am starting to have some serious issues miss shifting from 1st to 2nd or down shifting from 2nd to 1st. It usually happens at the worst time. Like trying to do a tree shot or in a drag race. I know that it is a long throw between the two gears but this is getting annoying. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Oh buy the way this is a 04 DS650 Baja X. I have added a biggun and KN and rejetted. it runs great but this miss shifting is pissing me off

Ah yes, been there. For now your two choices are, shift sooner, before the motor is laging and putting bind on the gears. Next is shift real hard when you do. The second is the trick when you get it down. If you have come off another machine, it will seem more severe, these things take some pressure to get them all the way to the next gear. There is a third choice but it involves more power!
