Sorry my baby girl hit the key,,, I have tried everything i could think of to shine my rims up but nothing i do will clean them up. the more i polish them the get darker gray, I,m guessin that there is a clear coat on them from the manufactor....
Open to any ideas...

You could get them clear coated - I've never had a problem polishing my wheels and then having them turn darker. The only thing I dont like is the effort doing it.

Are we talking aluminum or steel?
There are allot of good products to clean them up if they're aluminum.
Steel will take a bit more work.


Marky is right, clear coat spray from your neighborhood auto parts or home improvement store
will work well unless you spend allot of time in rocks.

I bet he has the stock Baja wheels with the reinforcment that are powder coated. Ya, polishing wont work.

Mothers aluminium polish works beautiful. If is has beenn along time it willl take several applications to get a shine and to seal them. Looks good but sucks major a$$. Chiknhawk

If his rims are bombardier powder coat grey he wont be able to polish them.
