I haven't heard much about the yoshi slipons lately, where do they stack up when compared to the rest?

 

Man, I just went through this very thing... I was sold on the BIG GUN full deal. The total horsepower gain was 3.5 as stated on Big Guns web site. I was about to fork over I believe $600+ to get it shipped to my door. $600 bucks for 3.5 hp..... not on my watch!

Then after some advise from a friend I went ahead and decided to spread that same exhaust money around and got some unreal bang for my buck or at least i think...
HMF(w/removable quiet core/spark arrst) & K&N filter + Jets= $265 shipped to my door... Then I got a HPR race ported intake for $150 and whatever shipping was; right there the gains I felt were huge feeling through out the powerband. Snap the throttle and stand the bear up. The gains were so big I wanted to get some better foot pegs to stay on the bad boy and ordered the IMS foot pegs. I got all those mods for the price of a full exhaust... The gains were so good out of the slip on and ported intake I felt like I got the power of a full exhuast while saving $200 to spend on those sweet *** kick up pegs which ride as good they look, or at least thats how i rationalized it!!!

 

Where did you get the HMF(w/removable quiet core/spark arrst)? and how much did it cost you? I have alot of similar things done to mine. I have a Ron Woods Racing 11.5 to 1 high compression piston/rings, K&N air, Jets, Ported intake, ITP Holeshots, Brand new rod and rod bearings its just getting finished on being rebuilt, I customized my exhaust by taking out the baffle and all of the old fiberglass rewrapping it with new glass, then I cut the two small pipes out and made it one big pipe for the cap. I haven't got to ride it yet because ive been doing most of this during the rebuild. A friend of mine has a 02 Raptor and has a hot rod cam, exhaust and jetting, with K&N and he claims hes going to smoke me... but we have yet to see.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
