Jed,

Looks like I'll be going to St Anthony's in the spring. Got a friend that building a house only 6 minutes away! OMG! I just got off the phone with him and he's extended an open invitation. He tells me the cost of living is pretty low there too ... Hmmmmmm

Marky,

You need a summer house over there by St A's don't ya? You could rent it out in the winter to dune addicted people.

Concerning DS Days whole moving idea, I think the way to make it work best is to have one of the guys local to the chosen area be the go to person since you can't hardly plan a good event from 1000 miles away. If we do Little Sahara Utah do we have any Utah or nearby volunteers? All of the DS Forum guys who I know from that area are pretty stand up guys and would be a great choice to put the event together. I'm sure we can get an unofficial event schedule posted on any number of web sites etc.

Chris,

Now thats a thought for when I can actually afford two homes! LOL At least I could rent a 3 bedroom house with property and a two car garage cheaper than the two bedroom, single car garage condo I'm renting now. Maybe have the extra bedroom available for anybody that needs it. I got to tell you this is very tempting - 7 minutes away from the dunes - just gives me goose bumps!

Jed is from Utah - a lot of talk was givin about Utah. I agree with you it should be organized by someone that knows the area. Jed??? Hint? Hint?

Come and listen to a story about a man named JED
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin crude.

Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.

Well the first thing you know ol JED's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said "JED move away from there"
Said "Utah is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Delta City.

Hills, that is. Dunes, bowls, and DS stars.

(Afterwards)
Well now its time to say good by to JED and all his kin.
And they would like to thank you folks fer kindly droppin in.
You're all invited back again to this locality
To have a heapin helpin of their hospitality

Hillybilly that is. Set a spell, Take your shoes off.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?.

I had a blast at DS days. It was really cool to meet everyone. Ive kinda been stewing on somthing this past week though. I wasnt gonna say anything but I will leave the guilty party's name out, you know who you are. Im not trying to be an a-hole but leaving a pile of Garbage in the middle of camp and trash laying around your site is really sh!tty. One by one there shutting down the places we love to ride. Leaving a mess behind does not help our cause. Coffeegrinder, er huh, gerbil man and I cleaned it up before we left and hauled it to the dumpster a mere 200yds away. I dont like cleaning up after anyone but I didnt want it to reflect on our group as a whole. Come on, its not that hard to pack it out.

Im looking forward to next year. St. Anthony would be great. I think moving it around is a great idea. it would give some of us a chance to ride some places we havnt been to yet.
