What do I think about HMF? I think that they are a very popular slip-on for a lot of reasons. I'm not a huge slip-on fan, because I feel there are other options that make more sense from an investment perspective. But they remain an alternative for those that need to be spark arrested and dont want a full pipe.
As far as the stock head pipes - I think they suck. The best flow will be a smooth radious, not two 90 degree turns. But again, not everyone is willing to part with the extra funds for a full exhaust.
650Viper will probably tell you he has found the exhaust of his dreams. He has no noise restrictions or spark arrestor issues - He feels he's getting up to 7hp gain on the bottom, and 3 mph faster on top over the Ron Wood Racing exhaust.
